Simplicity, practice, composition and lighting are the main four key elements for all good photographs.
Simplicity: The most difficult thing in photography is to capture the simplicity, being a good photographer you must left this thing on your camera, it will help you to simplify the things in front of you. You must start by viewing everything in you canvas then after that you have to simplify by eliminating some of the things. There are two ways through which you can do this either by closing yourself to the subject or by using telephoto lens to zoom the subject.
Practice: The main thing which helps you in becoming a good photographer is a practice, what you have to do is to take a more picture of the same subject by trying different angles. Practice makes man perfect.
Composition: The golden mean is an artistic technique which use is to divide the picture both horizontally and vertically like a box on chess, after that the subject should be place near to those intersections. The photographs which you like the most study them you will find them near or on to the intersections.
Lighting: most of the photos liked by everyone are the mixture of simplicity practice and composition, but compositions rules on the others but without lighting composition is nothing and lighting shows that how skilled photographer you are. Try to capture pictures at dusk, dawn and at afternoon, because at that time sun produces rich colors which give best effects to your photograph
