Apartment Therapy’s mission is to help make people’s homes more beautiful, organized and healthy. As a Site Reliability Engineer you will be building, and maintaining the tools and systems that furthers that mission, and helps provide a rich, engaging media experience to 35+ million monthly readers and growing.
Our ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about building the tools and systems to improve our platform. You have a keen focus on streamlining processes and tools to reduce development and deployment friction. You have built, managed and maintained high traffic, high availability applications, and you are comfortable deploying to AWS, Google’s Cloud Platform or physical hardware.
You’ve managed software and systems in a production environment, and have a deep understanding of how applications scale in the wild. You build redundant, understandable and easily reproducible systems. You are an amazing communicator who is comfortable working locally or in a remote environment.
We are headquartered in New York City, and our team is a mix of remote and local people. We wear many hats and maintain a collaborative and encouraging environment. We are small, lean team that deploys early and often.

This position is a local or remote position, and you will be working with a distributed team. Excellent communication skills and self-direction are critical for success.
